在一次巴士迷會活動中，城巴總經理李日新先生 邀請一批巴士迷到城巴火炭巴士廠探訪一批來自新加坡的Leyland Atlantean。這批巴士在短暫停留香港後被運往中國內地繼續服役。聞說這批巴士被運到上海服役多年，並全數於2000 前退役。

In an activity organised by the Hong Kong Buses Society, Mr Lyndon Rees, the chairman of Citybus at that time, invite a group of bus enthusiasts to visit Citybus's depot in Shatin, Hong Kong. The major of the event was to have a look on several Leyland Atlanteans which sold from the bus operator of Singapore: the SBS. This group of 2nd hand buses was shipped from Singapore to Hong Kong, and then shipped again to China for servicing. I heard that they stayed in Shanghai of China for their reminding time of life before being scrapped.
